TBC: Offensive pets

Posted on | March 23, 2010 | No Comments

Dragonhawks! They aren?? a new discovery, but they are extremely spectacular. In my opinion they are the most beautiful and graceful pets in the entire game.
Family: Dragonhawk
Type: General
HP: Medium (+0) ??Armor: Low (+0) ??DPS: Medium (+0)
Learns: Bite, Cower, Dive, Fire Breath, Growl
Diet: Meat, Fish, Fruit, Raw Meat, Raw Fish
You may have noticed that they don?? get any bonuses. So if someone happens to be a number cruncher then I would advise avoiding this pet. But if you play the game for more than just the numbers, head over to Petopia and take a look at these lovely pets.
-”Too many requests! Slow down!” Yes, thank you, I should take the time to savor the experience of purchasing 37 chicken eggs.
Calabar (50 Hunter) – Farli (27 Minstrel) – Raedan (21 Champion) – Lyndian (23 Guardian) – Bannik (21 have been the standard offensive pet, for good reason.
I looked at Petopia and compared cats to Ravagers:
RAVAGER Family
Type: Offensive
HP: Low (-7) ??Armor: Medium (+5) ??DPS: High (+10)
Learns: Bite, Cower, Dash, Growl, Gore
Diet: Meat, Raw Meat
CAT Family
Type: Offensive
HP: Medium (-2) ??Armor: Low (+0) ??DPS: High (+10)
Learns: Bite, Claw, Cower, Dash, Growl, Prowl
Diet: Fish, Meat
Both have similar DPS it seems, though I read another post that ranks Gore as being the best trainable for DPS, so choice comes down to HP versus Armor.
I have always found lots of HP on a pet to be more useful than lots of armor – though that is also useful and I would prefer both (in an ideal world) – so have no plans on switching from my cat.
That being the case, is there some spectacular new pet in TBC that has been discovered?
