OMG! OMG! OMG! Look at this!
You remember spot, the barking wolf? Well, it seems he isn’t the only one with that behavior. Their is a hope for alliance! Prairie Wolf (5-6, Mulgore), also shares this behavior with Spot, very cool. Some other interesting pets are the Winterspring cats [this does not include the white lion, only the riding model cats]. All cats yawn: Petopia wrote:But only a handful of cats — the ones who use a ‘riding’ model — accompany this animation with a loud roar (followed by a quiet jowl-shaking noise). You can almost hear the slobber. And the last thing I found interesting is the Drywallow Snapper (37-38, Dustwallow Marsh). Petopia wrote: Quote:The Drywallow Snapper is a crocolisk who knows more than he should. Crocolisks can learn to use the skill Bite, and many crocolisks know some rank of Bite when they are tamed. But the Drywallow Snapper is unique — he knows the skill Claw, Rank 5 when he is tamed!
Did they change the way that I have to tame pets?
The dismiss and tame is a bug, it will be implemented in some form later but its not finished yet and got into the game on accident. I think they fixed that bug last patch. The reason it will be put ingame at some point is to allow people with 3 different pets to still learn new abilities from other beasts.- God Emperor of Hunters and Priest Forum Mean Person. Ok, here is my problem. I leveled up a hunter to 30 on a different account, but needed to start up a new one so I am now level 19. What I would do on my other hunter is that, assuming I had an open stable spot, dismiss my current pet and was then able to tame a new one. At which point, the pet that I started with would be in the stable slot and I would be running with the new pet. However, I just tried to tame a new pet with the bew character with the same method of dismissing my pet and then taming a new one. However, when I tried to tame it, I would get a message saying that I had too many pets already. But when I went back to the stable master and physically put my old pet in the stable, I was able to tame it fine. When did this change? The problem I am having with this is say there is a pet that I want to tame in the middle of nowhere, and I need to have my current pet running with me for protection until I get to that location, and there ar eno stable masters around for me to drop him off. How am I supposed to tame this new pet?
Combat Experience (MM talent)
MM is a mana burning spec. So the attraction of higher intellect is always there for more mana and with CE & CA talents it can pay off in other areas, otherwise, it’s a useless stat to have any bonuses on. Really you’ll see these talents used on Hunter who aren’t trying for total max dps but a hybrid with mana pool availability and good dps. There are people that feel max dps is it. I won’t go back over this argument, but people do intentionally take talents off the cookie cutter build for a reason and they aren’t being stupid. They know what they are Ruling Warlord of the Space Monkey Empire Hunter: Thalika & Morris the Cat (owner of aforementioned Hunter) Correct, not the best talent to spend your points on.-Hunter FAQ SW 6/6; Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury more bag space since Oct 28 I have seen quite a few MM builds including this talent lately. Increases agility by 2 and intellect by 6. Assumption: A typical blue geared lvl 70 would have like ~450 agi and ~200 intellect. 450 1.02 = 459 200 1.06 = 212 Paired with Careful Aim, 12 0.45 = 5.4 attack power. 9 agi, 12 int and 5.4 ap. Unimpressive by itself IMO, and even more compared to +8 crit chance in imp. Barrage (for the same 2 points). Or?If anyone is bored….which im sure theres many of you this being the alla forums. Could you please post a 39 hunter twink spec/gear ….yea yea i know im lazy, but hey. im giving you something to do .- Pory of the Nightfall Obscure Reference Kel’Thuzad Currently waiting for the ICC HM race…
Hunter BM Spec
If you don’t use aimed shot alot in BG’s you really should. It gives a nasty debuff to people you hit with it. I like hitting them shaman that stand there just healing themselves over and over again. While people pound on them. I put that bad boy on him and its GG. Druids are also nice targets for this. Palis tend to hate you if you stick it on them right after their bubble goes away. I can’t actually look at your spec but I would go 41/20 so you get the 30 extra damage for crits and rapid killing. Those are enough for me to stay that way. The best PVP build right now is a 41/20 MM/SV. While you don’t get the 18 second I win button you still have some nice output with the ability to drop traps quick as hell with the extra 10 health and surfooted. Makes you very viable to get around. Just a thought. -Alliance (Lightning Hoof) HitashLevat lvl 70 NE Hunter 0/41/20 Ravagedmoon lvl 70 NE Warrior 8/7/46 Celestrial lvl 70 NE Priest 14/0/47 I am here to get some input on a BM spec I am thinking about using. I am respecing my BM hunter cause I notice I dont use Aimed shot a lot in BG and I have more output in damage without it. Even if my Cat dies I still get more damage without Aimed shot and I am usually 2nd or 3rd on the damage list. Would a 48/13/0 spec be decent with the new arena gear is one question seeing my base AP will come from the armor. Here is the spec I am thinking about using, maybe someone could tell me a bit of info on how they think it would work. Aimed shot would come in at 70 for KZ reason with MD. any info would be apreciated. just incase the url link thing for this forum didnt work right.
A Constant Expose Weakness?
Go mainly for agi as this will both increase your crit and your expose weakness debuff. Agi > crit. Also you’ll never have a 100 uptime of Expose Weakness. However with at least 35 crit (raid buffed of course) your Expose Weakness will be up a lot (I assume > 90 of the time).-Hunter FAQ SW 6/6; Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury more bag space since Oct 28 So I recently respecced my hunter to survival for my guild’s raiding habits (trying to get beyond kara into t5 content, just downed Gruul as a matter of fact.) Since none of the other hunters were willing to do so I just threw myself at it. Now, having just respecced (and having fairly shtty gear, all quest blues and a handful of 70-instance blues) I don’t think I’m looking too good. I’m packing a whopping 23.12 crit and a grand total of 576 agility, I’m currently using the Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer, and all of my gems add to my crit and agility. So I’ve been wondering, more than anything, how high a Crit should I work for in order to keep Expose weakness up 100 of the time? (assuming I can just sit there and shoot at the bastard, of course.) I’ve done a little bit of math on the subject, but I’m certain I fed up in many spots along the way. And I think I know exactly how I’m gonna get some of that crit up (Time to farm some S1 gear!) Any and all information is greatly appreciated. EDIT: Damn, I forgot to tell you what my spec was, hehe. How bad are boars after the fix
They lost their massive chargegrowl threatspike. Wich means they are now good soloing pets instead of insane soloing pets. Carrion Birds are now probably better for soloing, as screech has some decent threat. (1 screech is i believe 1 6th of an unbuffed growl at lvl 70, and i think my growls with ~2.2k ap are about twice as high as an unbuffed one….. though I’m not sure.)- God Emperor of Hunters and Priest Forum Mean Person. His threat spike after charge isn’t as high as it once was. I need to wait an additional second to start the pew pewing or I’ll pull the mob to me a bit sooner than previously. I want him to run to me just before he dies. If I time it right, I can give him the coup d’etat with my polearm and reach down to loot the corpse without needing to walk over to where my pet was standing first. Edited, Jun 18th 2008 9:14am by SebaceousI’m just curious how bad boars are since the nerf, er bug fix. I’ve had Baconator since I was level 14, but I picked up a cat in preparation for running instances in the Outlands. Now that I’m level 64 and Baconator’s stuck at level 52, I’m wondering if it’s even worth leveling him. Does anyone have any experience with boars since the nerf? I’d hate to level him once I get to 70 only to find out that he’s no better than my cat at holding aggro and I should have dropped him ages ago. Thanks in advance,
