Need advice for a lvl 40 druid.
I now have 8 toons leveled to 40 plus (most 70) and I never worry about gear. I take whatever I get for quest rewards and make do with that. The only exception is weapons for rogues, warriors & enhance shammys. For those classes, upgrading your weapons can make a massive difference to DPS. For those I just visit the AH and pay 2-3g for cheap green weapons with nice stats and decent DPS. For the druid your weapon is like any other piece of armor – just another vehicle for stats – the weapon DPS is irrelevant. Any item you do get will be replaced fairly quickly anyway, especially when you hit Outland at level 58-60 and the gear improves amazingly.
