Survival Gear/Mechanics Question

1 Agility = 1 Ranged Attack Power (RAP) 40 Agility = 1 Crit (at level 70) 14 RAP = 1 DPS 22.3 Crit Rating = 1 Crit

Taken directly from my guide in my sig, as well as many other places on this forum (including the sticky). Personally speaking if you’re using the Beast Lord Hanguards to achieve the requirements for your Meta-Socket bonus, then keep them on. If you require the hit to stay capped (while raiding), then keep the Beast Lord as well. As SV, yes we want to be agility junkies, but at the same time your raids have to warrant even using an SV hunter as a DPS role. If you’re strictly after agility, then go with the Beast Lord Hanguards, if you want a little extra damage and survivability go with the Demon Stalker. SV is about adding raid DPS with sustained DPS by yourself. If your raids are typically Physical DPSer’s, then your overall DPS will be much greater then that of a BM. Now please BM’s don’t take this the wrong way, but an SV will add more RAID damage overall, not PERSONAL damage, over you. Again this is under the assumption that you have more physical DPSer’s. For example, in a typical raid boss fight for my guild, we have around 10-12 physical DPSer’s. With my agility raid buffed, I have roughly 1224 agility. This puts my EW at roughly 306 added AP for all our physical damagers. On average, I’m adding anywhere between 970-1080 Raid DPS (greatly depends on raid setup, but this is a typical raid for my guild). My personal DPS is anywhere from 1700-1800, most of our BM’s personal DPS is from 2000-2100. Now adding the EW Raid DPS to myself, it puts me well over them, but it will never show as my DPS, not to mention other factors come into play. Movement of the boss, how long physical dps can keep their sustained damage, deaths, etc. Where as BM add 3 damage to their group upon pet crits, I’m adding 306 AP to every physical DPSer regardless of the group. Back on topic: The evaluation comes from you. SV requires a lot of agility, but you need to find a balance between your agility and your personal DPS. If your raid is more consisted of physical DPS over caster type, go for more agility. If it’s not, go for more personal DPS items. At your point in raiding, you don’t have to much to choose from just yet, but that will change as you advance higher in raiding progression. EDIT After looking at your armory, it appears that the blue socket in your gloves and the blue socket in your bracer’s are the only thing keeping you at the bare minimum requirement for your Meta Gem in your helm. Stick with the Beast Lord Gloves, or prepare to re-socket one of your items to compensate for the loss of the blue gem. From this item I get: +37 Agil +34 AP +18 Stam +17 Intel +3 Hit I recently got the Demon Stalker Gauntlets and stuck them in my bank as they provide: +28 Agil +58 AP +24 Stam +24 Intel +6 MP/5 If I were to use the DSG I would end up doing this to my stats: -9 Agil +24 AP +6 Stam +7 Intel -3 Hit +6 MP/5 Am I being foolish by keeping the BLH on instead of the DSG? Is there a point where sacrificing Agil for other stats to improve personal performance is worth while? If so, is there any rule of thumb about what stats would roughly be worth 1 Agil for a SV Hunter? I’m hoping someone can help me with this example so I can evaluate items in the future with the correct information. Thanks in advance. (If this has been posted about recently, I’m sorry. What pet is best for leveling?

I completely forgot how much i loved this class and have no idea why i left it sit forever. From like 44-46 i was using the turtle from WC (Krush i think??) but when i was on petopia i saw konga or w/e immediately flew to BB and took the quest, once i leveled him up too 46 i’d say he was much better than the turtle for questing. I’m just wondering if there are any better pets for than gorilla’s or if there is a post already that says all this. Oh and also how are hunters generally at level 80. p.s. I forget most stuff about hunters because i’ve probably only played this character maybe 5 hours since TBC launched lol. edit I completely forgot i had made an almost exact post on here a couple days ago, just ignore this one. was put only in the Arena

My bad. The drinking nerf was put only in the Arena.Axehilt wrote:If you have LO, you should lead with a LB, pop EM, and thenhain-Lightning. If you get an LO pr while EM is tive, the LO pr willrit. So it’s almost always best to EM your 2nd spell instead of the 1st (unless the mobs are moving and won’t all be hit by theL if you delay EML til the 2ndast; as is often thease in PVP) Ah. Interesting. I will remeber that. Thanks. That’s some pretty bad math…. But I just don’tare enough about it to argue anymore. You people say and do what you want. Having a ‘lk as my main, I wanted to go melee. So I levelled a Warrior. 59 right now. Now I need something different. A shaman. Enhaement no less. Why? Buase I still want the melee, but like to have the mag as bk up. And THAT is why I agree that enhae is better then ele for levelling.hoe. I don’t see melee as an option at all if you go ele. And that’s regardless of the maths, bad or otherwise. )It’s not an opinion, it’s a ft. Enahement is the leveling sp for shamans. So I plan to be at level 59 for a good while. I want my friends toah up for one thing and I don’t have the expansion so I’d top out at level 60 anyway. So instead of being stk at the bottom of the 60-69 pvping brket I figure why not be at the top of 50-59? Seems logal sie I’ll mainly be doing battle grounds until my friendsah up. I have a few pies of gear already and was wondering what to look for stat wise. I have a few pies thats +int +stam and mana per s. Should I look for more things of that kind? *Edit* hahaha I knew I had forgotten something! I’m elemental, I’ve never tried linking my talents before so he goes; worldofwaraftominfoclass…00000000000 Hope that worked anyway, on the way to 59 putting my next 10 points into Eye of the Storm 1(to top it out) Shield Spialization 5 Storm Reh 2 Improved Ghost Wolf 2 Not nessarily in that order, the ghost wolf thing is bause I like playing in WSG and it would help withapping the flag. I also use it often to get out of fights I don’tare to be in and forasing allies while still inombat.

If youre not ryers, get Quagmirrans Eye

Drop theapitator, get the ryers trinket. If you’re not ryer’s, get Quagmirran’s Eye from hero Underbog. Drop 30 stam10 agi leg ehant in favor of the spell damage one. Ehant your gear. (HelmShouldersbrers have no dps ehants..). Get a spell damage meta. Don’t wear healing gear. Get better brers (Vindators silk will do). Get the on of the Silverreent instead of the mana bk trinket. Get a real pair of gloves, the souloth makes mery. Lose all the spirit gear, that makes mery too. Get spellstrike made, gem everything with 8 hit rating. Get a Belt of Blasting made, gem it with 12 spell damage (pvp gembadge gem) and 8 hit rating. Seriously though. Only half of your gear is dps gear, and you’reomplaining about having weak stats? Thanks for the input, I’m terrible at gearing up my toons. Am working the getting the mats for spellstrike. are refering to a warrior and its a 19 twink I

Now in this is your flavor ofhoe. Sie we are refering to a warrior and it’s a 19 twink I say stk with the 4 following ehants for weps for melee wise is the following. (+15agil,lifesteal,fiery or even the plus damage to wep.)Nowrusader is not bad at all. However, the pr rate is not worth it imo. Plus I am not entirely sure if this is true or not now. But by past threads from what I’ve been reading, they put a lvl req onrusader but I’m not sure if this is true or not. When I get off work, I’llhk my ehanter to see if it is true or not or if someone elseould verify that. Link to this D 18th 2007 6:19pm : Logged Reply to this Lorimathholar2137 Default I didn’t twink my Druid to pwn nubs. I twinked my druid so Iould tuallyompete. Maybe you haven’t seen lower level battlegrounds rently, but there are just as many twinks as non-twinks if not more. I don’t see the differee in twinking at 49 and twinking at 70. I mean, a full S3 geared player with high end ehants vs a fresh 70 is a mh bigger hurdle than a twinked 39 and a non-twinked 39 (now those underlevelled players, that’s another story). I know itan be frustrating to get killed by twinks. That’s why I made one. To be able to kill them bk. It’s not that I don’t like 70 pvp, my warrior does tons of it. It’s just that sometimes it is more fun to kk bk with a group of players that all have max gear for their level that is mh easier to obtain. I spent about 10 hours twinking my druid at 49. I spend more time than that getting a single upgrade at 70.

First-person shooters Counter-strike and Far Cry 2 have already come in for mention in relation to last week’s horrific rampage shooting in Germany. But World of Warcraft, not one of the usual suspects in the video game violence debate, has now been thrown into the mix by a German politician.Welt Online reports that Germany’s Minister for Social Affairs Mechthild Ross-Luttmann (left) has turned her attention to WoW:Ross-Luttmann… aims to achieve a general age restriction for addictive computer games. World of Warcraft, for example – available to minors at the age of 12 – might in the near future only be sold to adults. In addition to this, parents need to be further sensibilized [sic]. “Parents must know what danger potential exists in their children’s bedrooms,” Ross-Luttmann said.
